The schedule

The next Tekla Global BIM Awards will take place in Autumn 2024. Winners of the local Tekla BIM Awards which will be organized during 2023 and the first half of 2024 will enter into the global competition.

The prizes

Winners of the Tekla Global BIM Awards 2024 will win:

The best BIM project

Two persons to Trimble Dimensions in Las Vegas, USA (including flights, hotel and event tickets)

Category winners

Business category winners: Meta Quest 3 VR headset, crystal trophy and diploma & Student category winners: Amazon gift card of EUR 500 for the whole team and diploma

The judging criteria

Projects are evaluated based on the following criteria

Use of BIM and collaboration

Model life cycle, collaboration between multiple participants, and use of IFC and open BIM

Innovative use of Tekla software

Challenges solved with Tekla and innovative ways of utilizing BIM

Constructibility

Level of Development (LOD), multi-material aspect, and geometry complexity

Environmental benefits

Energy savings, reduced waste, and logistics

Cool factor

Impressiveness, uniqueness, and creativity of project execution

The jury

Tekla BIM Awards jury members represent distinguished expertise in the field of construction. A jury will review the projects and choose the winners.

Tekla Student BIM Awards

The Tekla BIM Awards has a special category for students. Entering your project into the competition is a great way to highlight your civil and structural engineering or construction management talent. The competition offers you the chance to showcase your skills alongside the most outstanding projects in the industry. What's more, winning looks excellent on your resume and can help you land your dream job upon graduation. The student projects may be carried out individually or in teams with a maximum of five members.
