The structure consists of steel trusses formed by circular hollow sections connected by a full penetration weld and bolted joints.Â
The main structure consists of a rectangular hollow section with a maximum encumbrance of 4.30x4.20 m for both feet and the beam. The vertices of the structure are made of vertical and horizontal tubular profiles.Â
Inside of the beam will become a walkway covered with expanded metal to protect maintenance workers.
Advantages of using BIM
BIM and Tekla proved beneficial for metal carpentry. The software offered higher control of geometries, accurate export model data functions, and custom components.Â
