Analysis & Design
Tekla Structures can interface with several analysis and design (A&D) packages through Tekla Open API. In addition, the software links with A&D packages by file transfer and to in-house A&D calculation spreadsheets. Tekla Structures supports, for example, SDNF, CIS/2 and IFC structural.

Tekla Structures can interface with the major MIS software solutions in steel and rebar fabrication and with production management systems software in precast concrete manufacturing. You can use Tekla reports, standardized file formats and advanced applications for data transfer. Some of these systems can export information back to Tekla Structures.
Tekla model data can be integrated with the leading rebar MES software and rebar processing systems using industry standard formats such as BVBS, PXML and Unitechnik and in proprietary formats of aSa, LP-System, Soule, Arma+ among others.
Tekla Structures can interface with different production machinery whether steel or precast concrete.
In steel, you can integrate any CNC software that imports DSTV. There are more advanced applications that can extract for example assembly information from the Tekla model for automatic layout and marking purposes. For precast concrete production, information from a Tekla model can be transferred to communicate reinforcement, embedded materials and concrete geometry.

You can further enhanced the information in your Tekla models by integrating communication and time-based management data. Mapping critical components of project management information into corresponding intelligent model objects provides you the opportunity to create dynamic dashboard views of project status. Architectural & industrial collaboration
Tekla Structures can share model and drawing information with the major architectural and MEP modeling programs. Archicad, ADT, Revit Building, Nemetschek Allplan and Bentley Architecture are all IFC-compliant, as is Tekla Structures. Other formats, such as DGN and DWG, are supported as well.
Tekla Structures can interface with the major process and plant layout planning and piping design products, such as PDS, PDMS, Smartplant3D and Cadmatic. You benefit from better layout coordination and structural information.
