License compliance is using software according to the Terms and Conditions of the Software License Agreement.

Software piracy is the theft of the intellectual rights of software companies.

Misuse of Tekla Structures, Tekla Structural Designer and Tekla Tedds license agreement can lead to:

  • Putting companies at security risk because of the spyware and viruses found in cracked versions
  • Putting companies and owners at legal risk of civil or even criminal charges. In some countries accepting models created using unlicensed subcontractors is treated like receiving stolen goods
  • Reducing resources of research and development
  • Weakening  the competitive strength of licensed customers

Using subcontractors who violate license compliance is a risk. If such a subcontractor becomes subject to a raid where all computers are sealed, all project data can be lost.

If you suspect use of illegal software you can report the misuse to us confidentially via this web form. By reporting misuse you are helping to protect legitimate businesses and continued top quality development of the product.

If you suspect that your software is an illegal copy, contact your local Tekla office or authorized reseller to discuss your concerns.

If you would like to be sure that your prospective sub-contractor is a licensed Tekla Structures customer, we would be happy to check their licensing status for you, via this web form.
