The 2018 Tekla North America BIM Awards celebrates the success of projects modeled using Tekla software in North America. The awards create an opportunity to showcase your work, publicize your company and acknowledge and reward the hard work of the project team. Projects of all sizes, complexity and that demonstrate collaboration and innovation are welcome.

One winner of each category will be awarded with the following prizes:

All category winners are submitted to the Global Tekla BIM Awards 2018.


The deadline for entries is May 4, 2018 so please submit your project as soon as possible. All competing projects will be published online, and there will be a public voting period from June 11th - June 22nd to decide the peoples favorite. The judging panel will open June 25th - June 29th. The winners will be announced in July.

The winners of the North America BIM Awards competition will be entered into the Tekla Global BIM Awards which take place autumn 2018.


We will be looking for: collaboration between multiple participants and use of IFC and open BIM; challenges solved with Tekla; perhaps a multi-material aspect or complexity of geometry; and most importantly the cool factor - uniqueness of the project and creativity in the project execution.

All projects entered are opened up to review by the public, who then vote for their favorite.


The closing date for entries into the 2018 Tekla North America BIM Awards was on Friday, May 4th.


The 2018 Tekla North America BIM Awards has a special category for students. Entering your project to the competition is a great way to highlight your talent in civil and structural engineering or construction management. The competition offers students a way to showcase their skills among the most iconic projects in the industry.

The student projects may be carried out individually or in teams of maximum five members.
