2023 UK Tekla Award winners are crowned, raising the bar for collaboration and innovation in construction.

After another year of impressive entries, each demonstrating expert and innovative use of its Tekla constructible modelling software solutions, Trimble is delighted to reveal the winners of its annual UK Tekla Awards.

Open to all users of Trimble’s Tekla software, the UK Tekla Awards are designed to recognise and celebrate the achievements and expertise of those working within the BIM and construction industry. 2023 is the first year where all award categories are open to both Tekla Structures and Tekla Structural Designer projects, with customers able to demonstrate how they use a combination of the different software products to deliver a truly synchronised construction workflow.

With six categories to enter, in addition to the Public Choice (voted for by industry colleagues online), the Tekla Awards is a great opportunity for users to showcase how they are using digital software and other technologies to build greener, improve productivity levels and deliver enhanced project collaboration.

Steve Insley, Business Director UK & Ireland at Trimble commented, The innovation and collaboration across the design, fabrication and construction teams in all these projects is truly inspiring and a great example of people, process and technology working together. I am also very pleased to see the broad Tekla and Trimble technology portfolio being adopted to support the outstanding examples of project execution across all entries.

Michelle Mendes, Marketing Manager UK & Ireland at Trimble said: It’s been another fantastic year for the UK Tekla Awards! Every year, our customers always manage to take it up a gear and demonstrate even more innovative and advanced uses of our Tekla software. With sustainability a key driver for the construction industry, it’s also great to see how our software is being used to reduce carbon, reduce waste and build better.

We were particularly impressed with how the winning projects showcased the abilities and interoperability benefits of Tekla Structures, Tekla Structural Designer and Trimble Connect as one streamlined and synchronised workflow, as well as the ability to bring multiple materials into the same model. They are all true testaments to the versatility of our Tekla software and are shining examples of innovation and excellence.

As well as being a fantastic opportunity for our customers to receive the industry recognition that they deserve, the awards also serve as a great way for us as a company to see how our software is being used day to day, with this feeding into future developments and releases. It was also interesting to see a large number of our customers being part of the same projects (probably without even realising it!), while the flow of data happened seamlessly and their clients enjoyed the benefits of faster and more accurate, and therefore more sustainable, construction.

All 2023 UK Tekla Award winners will be invited to a celebratory VIP event and activity day in September. The winners will also automatically be entered into the Tekla Global Awards 2024, with the chance to win a trip for two to Trimble Dimensions in Las Vegas.
