Starting as an engineer in a multidisciplinary consultancy, he gained experience in construction and steel fabrication, particularly in oil and gas projects.

Transitioning to software sales and management, Wee served diverse building and construction professionals, contributing to the adoption of technologies like BIM, Automation, and Analytics over two decades with companies such as CSCWorld, Bentley, and Trimble. Actively engaged in promoting technology adoption, he collaborates with government agencies to boost productivity in Malaysian construction.

Dennis Acosta has joined the Tekla South East Asia office as Technical Consultant, after moving from the Tekla Middle East office.

Dennis' BIM experience started 25 years ago, with the use of AutoCAD and Xsteel when he worked for Zamil Steel, a leading Middle East structural steel fabricator. During his 8-year stint with the company, Dennis was instrumental in producing extensive steelwork general arrangement drawings and details that predominantly used structural steelwork.

In 2006, Dennis joined Tekla Middle East as Technical Support Engineer. Shortly after, he initiated precast implementation for various clients, which led to working closely with detailing teams, creating company standards that ensured the use of BIM software in an efficient and productive way.

Recently helped to successfully implement the use of BIM software to the one of the biggest precaster in the region.
