Owners and Public agencies around the world continues to mandate use of BIM as a requisite for construction projects. Here in Malaysia, the government has mandated all public projects worth RM100 million and above to implement BIM while looking at how this can be implemented for private projects. Nevertheless, BIM has already been implemented many developers and contractors BIM is now a growing phenomenon in the construction industry worldwide, creating a paradigm shift in the existing processes to further improve the standards of our Construction output. Yet, BIM itself is not sufficient to make that leap possible.

Constructible BIM focuses at developing highly detailed BIM models that can be leveraged on to drive productivity and efficiency throughout the construction process.

In this seminar, we will explore on how we can easily leap into Constructible BIM and derive benefits that will propel your business further.

Wee Eng Yau

Wee has been in the civil & structural field for 18 years, specialising in technology solutions to improve project delivery. He began his career as an engineer in the civil and structural, multi disciplinary consultancy. He also had experience in steel fabrication industry from working on oil and gas projects.

 

He then moved into software sales and management serving a range of building and construction professionals such as architects, engineers, constructors and owners/operators.

 

With his extensive leadership experience, Wee is currently holding the position as the regional business manager for Tekla Malaysia. He is responsible for overseeing the sales and operations of the regional office, while making sure that Tekla users are well served.

 

In 1996, Wee graduated with a BEng (Hons) Civil & Structural Engineering from University of Hertfordshire and in 2003, he completed his MBA at Nottingham University.

 

Mark Tung

Business Development Director

Mark started his career in construction with the Construction Industry Development Board of Singapore in 1994 and in the last 19 years has worked in various sectors of the construction industry, including government authorities, owner, construction, Engineering and 3D design software industry. Mark was the Technical Sales Manager of a global CAD software organization overseeing the Asia Pacific region from 2005 to 2009 before joining the Singapore Land Transport Authority of Singapore as the Principal lead in their BIM adoption initiatives.

 

With his experience in this industry, Mark joined Trimble Solutions SEA in 2013 as the Business Development Director for Engineering, Precast and Cast-in-Place Concrete Segment.

 

Mark graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from the National University of Singapore and subsequently attained Graduate Diploma in Marketing and Master of Science in Computing in 1997 and 2003 respectively.

 

Jeremy Loh
Technical Solution Consultant

Jeremy graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (1st Class Honours) from Universiti Tenaga Nasional. He began his career as a Project Site Engineer in the Grand Hyatt Project in Kuala Lumpur.

 

He then progressed his career and experience with various BIM implementation and processes including BIM for Coordination, Quantity Take Offs and Estimation, Planning and Site Reporting. He was also the lead of the Automation Team of a major Contractor in Malaysia which focuses on integration between BIM and Construction processes.

 

He is currently with Trimble as a Technical Solution Consultant, working with clients to benefit broadly from implementing Constructible BIM.
