This project consists of 4 towers and is located in Polanco, Mexico City, Mexico. Initially, once receiving the project, Grupo Baysa (fabricator) saw the opportunity to present a study of Value Engineering that represents an economic and manufacturing advantage, benefiting the client, the manufacturer and the project in general.
A series of analyzes and technical feasibilities concludes that several columns are composite manufacturing materials, columns of type SRC (Reinforced Concrete and Structural Steel), presented the study and analysis by "Alonso y Asociados"Â the value engineering proposal is accepted. In the two engineering towers they looked at columns in the concrete-filled box and reinforced with rods, this requires a previous analysis of the length of the columns in the function of the lengths of rods, assembly, and assembly process and logistics of the casting of each section of columns, it was necessary to make the joints and the tests to determine the fluidity and the precise consistency for the correct filling of each column. Prior to the Detail Engineering, but with a model made in Tekla, logistics proposals were considered for the assembly of the structure considered two cranes and proposals for internal assembly of Baysa through vertical formwork.
It was essential a documentary control implemented by Lendlease for what was necessary as a course of sending and receiving information. We were informed that with each one of them the highest models that would be sent by the DWG and IFC models were delivered, the numbering should be a problem whenever the pre-established zoning for the Service and deliveries were required, it required 21 days of term to be reviewed and approved. A particularity of this project is the Structural Engineering plans, for each level, the calculation implemented three planes, one to establish the profile, another to define the levels of each floor and a third to define the type of connection of each element.
