We provided concrete services on the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago’s new state of the art facility in the Streeterville neighborhood. Named the Ability Institute of RIC, the 1.2 million square foot structure rises up 27 stories. The 8-story cast-in-place parking garage is topped by a structural steel tower comprised of concrete fill on metal deck up to level 27. Amenities include a 2 story sky lobby with outdoor sky garden green area, patient and family resource "Life Center" along with a Spiritual Center.
Similar to the City Hyde Park Project the Tekla Model was utilized to support various activities ranging from model based layout, formwork drawing creation, daily phasing and site logistic reviews, material procurement quantity extraction along with MEP and structural steel coordination.
