Leading the BIM revolution, Trimble is excited to be exhibiting at Offsite Expo 2022 (Stand D07), where they will demonstrate the latest addition to its Tekla Structures constructible modelling software: The Volumetric modular tool.

Hosted at the Coventry Building Society Arena on 20-21 September 2022, Offsite Expo is a must-attend event for anyone working within the offsite industry. With exhibitors from a wide range of sectors and specialities, it’s a great opportunity to discover the latest offsite solutions and learn more about advancements in industry technology.

Visitors to the Trimble stand (D07) will have the opportunity to learn not only about what Tekla's constructible modelling software can bring to the offsite sector, especially with the launch of its new Volumetric modular tool, but also about other construction product solutions from Trimble’s vast portfolio. These solutions include Viewpoint's powerful project management, operations and field teams tool, and Trimble’s MEP solutions for contractors.

Launched in the 2022 version of Tekla Structures, the new Volumetric modular tool is the next step in improving offsite construction, helping to make the BIM workflow even more efficient. The new tool comes in perfect timing with the event’s focus on offsite and BIM, two areas of construction that could hold the key to the industry’s future, combining the latest digital practices and offsite processes.

Designed specifically for the offsite market

The new Volumetric Modular tool from Tekla enables modular manufacturers to construct 3D modular units far quicker and easier, with automation at the tool’s core. As well as saving valuable time, with a basic unit able to be created in just a couple of clicks, the tool also offers a clear assembly hierarchy, automatically creating and organising assemblies, sub-assemblies and parts ready for production.

What’s more, the tool’s parametric capabilities help to streamline the change management process, meaning that if you make a change to one assembly it will automatically make the same change to all connected parts, saving valuable time.

Craig Johnson, Business Development Manager for Trimble’s Detailing and Manufacturing segment, spoke about the upcoming Offsite Expo, saying: We’re really excited to be returning to this event for 2022. It’s a great opportunity for us to demonstrate the value our software and hardware can bring to the offsite sector, as well as to meet with and learn from our fellow industry professionals. Our aim is to make sure the offsite industry, in particular, is aware of the fact that the design and planning of all building elements can be kept within the one 3D model, making sure all information and data are consistent, amalgamated and easily accessible. This is so important for an industry where time and accuracy are crucial for the success of any project.
