This will include generation of 3D Tekla Structures models. The importing of model data from other software packages and client BIM models. A good understanding of BIM, is also necessary. Design & Detailing Division.

The job will entail the draughting of general arrangements, fabrication details and joint details of a variety of structures using 3D software, backed up by 2D draughting. Applicant to be competent in the use of AutoCAD or Microstation (2D) as well as Tekla Structures (3D). Preferably the applicant will come from a steelwork detailing/fabrication background and understand the requirements of these types of drawings.

Responsibilities include

  • General draughting duties within the office both 2D and 3D, including draughting of stow plans, ships drawings, fabrication drawings and mooring plans.
  • Carry out Quality Assurance checks on other draughtsman’s drawings to ensure they are correct and done to the company standard
  • Maintenance and monitoring of QA forms and registers on the projects you are working on
  • Developing draughting standards
  • Assisting Company Directors/Senior Managers/Project Managers with the costing of enquiries, new/existing contracts
  • Providing regular updates on all your projects to a Company Director or Project Manager
