Panel of Jury

A jury of BIM and construction professionals will review the projects participating in Tekla BIM Awards and choose the winners. The jury members are distinguished professionals from the AEC industry or Academia.


Dr. Kim Inhan
Professor of Kyung-Hee University, Korea

Chief Vice-president of buildingSMART Korea.

Section Chairman, Korea CDE Society (Architecture/Construction)

Dr. Kim Inhan is professor of AEC information Technology in the department of Architecture, Kyung-Hee University, Korea. He is also the Chief Vice-president of buildingSMART Korea. Dr Kim obtained his PhD in Architecture from University of Strathclyde, UK in 1994. Before joining Kyung-Hee University in 1996, he was a Research Associate and Lecturer at the University of Wales in Cardiff lecturing artificial intelligence.


Professor Kim has more than 20 years of experience in architecture, including BIM, CAD and IT in construction. He is an Executive Committee Corresponding Member of buildingSMART International, member of the International Technical Management Group and buildingSMART Korea Technical Chair. He founded buildingSMART Korea chapter in 1998.


Professor Kim is the Expert committee member of ISO TC184/SC4 for Building & Construction Group. He is also active in other organizations, including position as Chief Vice-President in The buildingSMART Korea and Chairman in Korea CDE Society.


Nguyen The Quan

Nguyen The Quan graduated in the University of Leeds in 2009, he is lecturing, doing research as well as providing consultancy services in construction project management. With about 40 scientific publications in Vietnam and international conference proceedings, he is one of the active researchers in NUCE in terms of new trend in construction project management, such modern project delivery system and value management in construction projects, especially BIM. He has organized several conferences, workshops and seminars regarding BIM since 2012. He joined in the project of boosting BIM adoption in Vietnam lead by Ministry of Construction in 2015-2016 and now is an active member in the boards of advisors for the National BIM Steering Group. In May 2017, he established NUCE BIM Center in the Institute of Investment and Construction Management to officially launch the services of training, consultancy in terms of BIM in the construction industry in Vietnam.

Dr. Hari Nugraha Nurjaman, MT

Chairman of the Indonesia Association of Precast and Prestressed Engineers (IAPPI)

Hari, has served as General Secretary of Indonesian Association of Precast and Prestressed Engineers since 2008, with an academic background: Bachelor of Civil Engineering (1992), Master of Civil Engineering (1998) and Doctor of Science in Civil Engineering (2002) from the Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia .


As Chairman, Hari is responsible for coordinating the efforts to upgrade technical ability of the members of the association, to be able to produce a precast / prestressed design that meet consumer expectations for quality, speed and economical.


In 2012, he and a group of Indonesia precast / prestressed expert learn-Tekla BIM software directly to Tekla headquarters in Finland. Since then, he socialize use-Tekla BIM software, to precast / prestressed industry in Indonesia, in order to upgrade the efficiency of the Indonesian construction industry


Dr. Yeoh Ker-Wei, Justin

Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering

National University of Singapore

Dr. Yeoh Ker-Wei, Justin is a Lecturer at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS). He graduated with a B.Eng (Civil Engineering), and subsequently obtained his PhD in 2012.

Prior to his current appointment, Dr Yeoh worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at NUS, overseeing a research project involving the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) to enhance the capabilities of an A1-grade construction company. In particular, the project looks at site layout planning, equipment optimization, and cost estimation. Dr Yeoh has also worked as a project management consultant, identifying good site practices for construction.


Arch. Abelardo M. Tolentino Jr.

Arch. Abelardo M. Tolentino, Jr. or Jojo is the President of Aidea Philippines Inc. He graduated with a degree in Architecture in 1987 from one of the oldest universities in Asia the University of Santo Tomas. He spent nine years in Hong Kong working in prestigious architectural firms such as HOK Asia Pacific and John Lei Architects Ltd. In those days, one would often hear him say that best architecture is one that uplifts the lives of those in the community.

Aidea has, for the past four years, consistently ranked among the top 100 Architectural firms in the world - coming in 63rd in 2014. Aidea is also regarded as one of the top BIM practitioners winning in 3 international BIM competitions thus far, namely: Build Qatar Live 2012, Build London Live, 2012 and BIM Buzz Singapore 2011.

Known in the Philippines as one of the experts in high rise and multi-dwelling residential developments, his firm caters to major real estate companies in the country.  Aidea’s involvement working with developers and consultants even in the early stages of the project, proves to be a winning formula in the success of the projects they undertake.


Yu-Cheng Lin, Ph.D.

Yu-Cheng Lin is a Professor of construction engineering and management at the Dept of Civil Engineering of the National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech). Professor Lin was graduated with Ph.D. at National Taiwan University, Civil Engineering, Taiwan, in 2014. And he has his Master of Science, Civil Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of New York University, USA in 2007. His current research interests include practical construction management, Building information modeling (BIM), Civil information modeling (CIM), construction information management, automation in construction, web-based project management system, IT technology application, automation in construction. He has published several articles and papers on the role of academic support service in computer-based construction project management and BIM application in practice. In 2012, there was a competition held by China Hydraulic Engineering Society of Civil 3D BIM software application in Taiwan. There were six members from NTUT as a team have entered into the finals and the winner was Profession Lin’s students.

Dr. Teerawut Muhummud has over 20 year of experience as a lecturer, Department of Civil Technology Education, KMUTT. King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) is only Thai university has participated in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings in 349 of the world. He obtain Ph.D. (Civil Engineering) from Lehigh University, USA, in 2004. He conduct BIM subject by Tekla in class.
