Roz Buick Vice President, Buildings Division Trimble Inc

Dr. Roz Buick has been with Trimble for 20 years and has held various positions in the Construction and Agriculture divisions. Roz is currently the Vice President for the Buildings franchisedivision and responsible for strategic development and broadening of the solution offering to include all aspects of building project lifecycle. Previous to this position, Roz served as Vice President of the Civil Engineering and Construction division where she directed the evolution of that business to provide solutions for construction projects throughout the full project continuum.  She was also influential in the development of Trimble Connected Site solutions that provide significant workflow integration from the design phase through to the finished project to provide stakeholders with reduced costs, higher accuracy and increased quality control. Prior to Trimble she taught at a university and conducted decision support systems research at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia, USA and New Zealand.  She has a PhD from Lincoln University New Zealand and a Bachelor of Agricultural Science Honors from University of Canterbury New Zealand. 

Andrew Tull

Andrew holds a degree in Business Management from the University of Miami, FL, USA.  He first moved to Hong Kong in 1997 where he was Director of a multi-million dollar, advanced microchip technology company. In 2002 he moved to Singapore where he spent 9 years expanding the microchip business throughout Asia.  Andrew joined Trimble in 2012 as Regional Manager of Consulting & Services within the Heavy Civil Construction group. He has worked on large infrastructure projects providing the clients with complete end to end solutions using Trimble technology.  He continues to live in Singapore with his family. 

Marvin Garcia Technical Specialist Trimble Solutions SEA

Marvin graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, and had since accumulated more than 14 years of experience in Building, Construction & Software Industry and held functional responsibilities.
He recently joined Trimble Solutions SEA, where he provides technical support to Tekla Structures customers and partners (concrete + steel), performs technical pre-sales demo, conducts training courses and project consultancy across SEA region. He also manages customer feedback and product localization, and is responsible for overall sales performance and customer satisfactory feedback.
His BIM journey started when he joined Yongnam in 2010. Within 6 years of stay, he was promoted and held a managerial level position. Started as Engineering Coordinator in 2010, promoted to Assistant Engineering Manager in 2013, and appointed in 2015 as BIM Manager for Yongnam-Jian Huang Joint Venture (YNJHJV). 
One of the many notable iconic projects he worked on was the Singapore Sports Hub – Stadium. For this project, he personally led a team of highly skilled modelers who were responsible for the design and drawing delivery of entire roof structure.
Marvin has been invited to speak at several events about BIM, including BuildTech Asia 2014, Tekla Regional ATC Symposium 2014, Tekla Steel User Day 2016, NUS BIM Module Session 2017 and PICE 6th International Technical Conference Singapore 2017.

Jennifer Garcia Sabellina Senior Engineering Coordinator TTJ Design and Engineering

Jennifer graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, and had since accumulated more than 15 years of experience in Building, Construction & Software Industry and held functional responsibilities.

She has been in TTJ Design & Engineering as a Senior Engineering Coordinator since 2011 and has worked on multiple projects in the company. She is responsible for accuracy checks and reviewing of complex drawings and design documents as well as conduct and suggest technical information for the improvement of the project.

Michael Hodgson

Michael Hodgson has worked in the construction industry for over 25 years, and has had the opportunity to work in various roles, from Fabricator to Draftsman to 3D CAD CAM software solutions supplier. As Technical Manager for the Steel Segment in Trimble Solutions, he now draws on his vast experience to facilitate his work in numerous projects such as the Rayong Oil Refinery in Thailand, and London Heathrow Terminal 5, and is actively involved in the implementation of BIM technology in projects worldwide.

Marcus Mitchell

Marcus has worked with providing training and after-sales support to customers around the world on BIM concepts. He is also primarily responsible for the testing, training and support of the Trimble Tekla integration software.  In this role he has written training manuals, regularly delivered extensive classroom and web training of the latest integration methods. Till this date, he has successfully trained 500 clients globally.

 

Marcus works closely with consulting engineers and steelwork fabricators throughout the world assessing their requirements for structural design and the implementation of Structural BIM solutions. He has over 20 years of experience working with 3D modelling solutions.

He has been with Trimble (formerly Tekla and CSC) for 14 years and is currently the BIM Technical Manager. He previously worked at two structural engineering practices for eight years and has worked on a variety of high profile engineering projects. Marcus has been dedicating his recent time to the successful launch of the Tekla Structural Designer software with emphasis on the Structural BIM

Helder M. R. Caetano

Helder has a degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis on Structural Design and for the past 10 years he has worked for different Structural Design Consultancies around the world in delivering demanding engineering projects. He is acquainted with the design requirements of varied national design standards, and particularly in regards to seismic design he has contributed largely to the addition of concrete member design to the seismic provisions of ACI 318 (ductility design) in Tekla Structural Designer.
Helder has been with Trimble (formerly Tekla and CSC) for 4 years and is currently a member of the Tekla Structural Designer development team. In his time with Trimble he has helped specify and shape a considerable number of features that add to the design capabilities of Tekla Structural Designer.
 

Alfred Hng
Director of Services and Consulting

Alfred has 25 years of industry experience and his expertise covers from Design to Construction.  He has extensive experience in Structural Consulting and Fabrication work.   As the Director, Services and Consulting Alfred Hng, is responsible for providing technical support and training to the Building and Construction segment in the South East Asia region.  His role and experience have successfully value-added and ‘BIMify‘ customers' business process which leads to higher productivity and cost saving.

 

Alfred’s passion with education has led him to drive ATCs (Authorized Training Center) across the region and develop Tekla’s “Professional Certification programme”. These initiatives have increased the skills of Tekla professionals significantly in Asia.

Alfred earned an MBA in International Management from RMIT as well as a Bachelor of Engineering from National University of Singapore.

Deric Tay

Mr. Deric Tay joined Trimble Geospatial Division in 2014. He works with Trimble's customers and distribution partners throughout the region delivering Geospatial solutions utilizing surveying, scanning, and spatial imaging technologies. He is a highly skilled executive, specialized in developing new 
businesses in high-tech services and Geospatial Industry. Prior to Trimble, Deric worked for the Sony Electronics throughout Asia as a Sales Manager in the field of electronics. He holds a Degree in Marketing Management in Business from University of Otago, New Zealand.

 

Leo Zhang Customer Success Manager

Leo Zhang is Customer Success Manager of Trimble SketchUp in China. With over 8 years in the building industry, he has a wide range of experiences in project proposal, feasibility study, project management and tendering, conceptual stage design to construction documentation, and site supervision, etc. 

He graduated from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2008 with Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Structural Engineering, and subsequently attained Master of Design Science in Sustainable Design from the University of Sydney.

Formerly he has worked in Arup as structural engineer and digital design R&D project manager for 6 years, working closely with international architects on various iconic building projects, including full BIM design Beijing Universal Studio Resort CityWalk Project; and 838m Changsha Sky City Project, Beijing New Airport Project, etc. using smart design technologies including computational design optimization, parametric design, design automation, and VR/AR/MR visualization.

Yong Heng Cheong

Heng Cheong originates from KL and is currently working in the Reinforcement Solutions department of NatSteel Holdings Pte Ltd Singapore where his day to day job ranges between meetings with Customers to propose novel solutions for the use of rebar to implementing NatSteel’s BIM adoption. Heng graduated with an engineering degree from the University of Cambridge and has over 20 years international working experience in Malaysia, the US, the UK and Singapore. He is both a PE in the US and a Chartered Engineer in the UK and has worked with a major engineering consultancy firm for over 10 years on iconic projects such as John F. Kennedy Airport International Terminal, Cornell University West Campus Residential Initiative, Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resorts and the Singapore Sports Hub. He has also worked with one of the largest precasters in the UK on projects including Wimbledon Centre Court, The O2 and Aintree Racecourse.
