Tekla Structural Designer allows you to check for punching shear in your structural flat slabs. These can be placed at columns or point loads anywhere along the slab. It can also recognize openings and design for punching shear accordingly. In Tekla Structural Designer 2017, you will also be able to design for punching shear and add stud rails to resist the shear forces.
