Tekla India Successfully concludes its 6th Annual User Meeting at Kerala
5th April, 2013: Tekla India, 3D BIM software provider, conducted its 6th Annual Customer Meeting themed as “Tekla India User Meet (TIUM) 2013” on April 4th – 5th, 2013 at The Leela Kovalam, Kerala.
Ushering the new developments and technologies in the rapidly expanding infrastructure industry, Tekla India User Meet (TIUM) drew an overwhelming response with 227 participants from companies across India.
These two days event held at The Leela Kovalam, Kerala was aimed at making users aware of the latest developments and features of the newly launched BIM software Tekla Structures 19, local development tools for Indian users, technical workshops and model competition. The event had guest speakers from renowned companies like Essar Engineering Services, Alstom India Ltd., and BGR Boilers Pvt. Ltd. sharing their experiences of using Tekla Structures in their projects. Dr. Ashwin Mahalingam – Asst. Professor at IIT – Madras, also shared insights on how firms can improve the construction and management of facilities with the help of BIM.
One of the main highlights of the event was the most popular Tekla India Model Competition which is arranged yearly and facilitates as a platform for Tekla customers to showcase their success stories worldwide.
The model competition winners were chosen amongst total of 35 entries across 3 categories:
a) Best BIM Project was awarded to Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Mumbai)
b) Best Steel Project was awarded to SCAD Steel Solutions
c) Best Special project was awarded to Design Excellence
The People’s Choice award also went to Design Excellence (Mumbai).
