This app allows the user to create a Sofistik FEM model made up of beam elements from a Tekla Structures geometrical model. Sofistik is a well renowned software in the field of structural engineering.
Through an graphic interface the app allows the user to create an analysis model, assigning to the beam elements the material and profile according to a library o letting the app the possibility of reading the cross section of every element.
It is also possible to create the analysis model of only the selected elements of a Tekla Structures model, to select the meshing tool to be used (Tekla Structures or Sofistik) and to define the maximum length of meshing subdivision, among other features.
The app main window shows the elements features: ID, coordinates, profiles assigned, rotation, etc; and through the graphic model the user may visualize the features of the elements of the geometric model and the analysis model and it also allows to define the elements boundary conditions and couplings.
The final result is the export of the model, writing a file with the features of the analysis model defined by the user and that can be used directly in Sofistik.
