The project of the support structure for the EHB of the Audi e-tron double-track production line.Â
D.A.L. company was a subcontractor in the scopes of structural planning, static calculations and executive documentation. Audi for the first time created a fully electric SUV with a own weight of about 2.9 tons. A special EHB track was designed as a double rail, which allows it to go round corners – great for such a heavy vehicle. Audi’s electric SUV weighs more than twice as much as the 1.18 tons Audi A1.
The support structure was designed as a frame structure, supported on concrete floor binding joists at a level of approx. 8 metres. The EHB track was suspended to the structure, together with the necessary hangers and walkaways, platforms for installations. The entire steel structure weighs 1503 tons. Â
