Project of a bridge for a competition B’RICO 2020 – The Nordic Steel Bridge Competition’ organized by the Board of Civil Engineering Students from Tallinn University of Technology.
The main goal is to design, produce and assemble the bridge during the finals in Tallinn. Requirements: material: steel S355 or lower, span of the bridge: 5m, load on the bridge: 1000 kg (750+250), the bridge should be made of elements with max length of 1200 mm. Our construction should weight about 43 kg which is quite close to breaking the record of the competition. What’s more, according to our estimations, the deflections of the bridge will be under 5mm while the bridge span is 5 meters long.
