Description
The Piping Add-On for Tekla Structures allows you to model piping and pipe fittings within your Tekla Structures model. The software works in a very similar fashion to Tekla Structures, with a simple user interface and online library structure.
All fittings are driven parametrically and features update with the change or movement of the connected pipe, including pipe supports.
All piping specifications and standards are obtained from an online library, and databases are regularly updated by ParaMatic.
The software has been developed to generate pipe specific fabrication drawings and reports for fabrication, as required by fabricators.
This add-on is for all Tekla Structures users who build piping and support systems within the oil and gas and metallurgical industries.

The ability to model piping in unison with the structural steel work gives you the power and workflow no other software does, minimizing design error and clashes caused by using dual software platforms to model piping within the steel work and equipment environment.
A comprehensive piping modelling software in Tekla Structures is something that has been lacking for years. ParaMatic identified the need for it and thus decided to take on the challenge to fill the gap and to develop it ourselves. There is nothing more powerful than software developed by engineers for engineers as we understand the environment, its challenges and limitations as well as the need for automated design.
The online library ensures that all users always have the necessary components and standards for every project.
Feedback
We have received positive feedback from all Beta users in the industry, including large engineering companies and piping fabricators. The software is intuitively easy to learn and deploy and users appreciate the speed with which we can add piping systems to the database.
Due the fact that we generate fabrication detail drawings instead of traditional isometric drawings, the fabricators have experienced an increase in fabrication efficiency, saving them months of fabrication time.
The drawings, reports and bills of material generated by the package have also increased the efficiency of quantity surveyors and procurement departments.

Development project
The application is in continuous development and becomes better and more efficient with each new release. Databases are updated based on the needs of the current users. User input has helped us develop the pipe support module in structural steel.
