Project description
Hägerneholmsskolan is a modern four-building school complex with area around 4,000 square meters made mainly in prefabricated reinforced concrete technology. The building consists of walls (both layered and ordinary), compressed hollow core slabs, bi-directional reinforced slabs, reinforced concrete stairs and steel connector structure. The modern nature of the building and the solutions used the project creates an innovative object in terms of aesthetics and friendly in terms of use.
The project was created through cooperation between CES Polska and Swedish Strängbetong. The full version of the model contains a number of detailed references such as ventilation, hydraulic and electrical installation, crane placement with range, room equipment and other outer and inner visualizations.
Special challenges
We have encountered several challenges. The object contains many non-standard solutions, which were dedicated to maintaining the assumed geometry of the dimensions. This mainly applies to mounting walls and plates, and the placement of brackets. The external layers of the walls were also a problem, which consisted of two materials in one block - ceramic bricks and concrete. What's more, working in a larger group of people on the same group of elements within the model-sharing system was troublesome in terms of numbering.
What made the project successful
The model has many interesting solutions. The way of fixing one of the walls of the staircase that is not put on the slab but fixed to the neighboring walls. There are numerous atypical and interesting ways of fixing the plates to other elements. The solution to the problem with the material of the outer layer of sandwich walls was to create a substitute material with appropriate weight and other parameters as close as possible to reality.
The investor requested a fixed bricks pattern on each wall, and an additional drawing showing this distribution. In order to do it efficiently and correctly, it was necessary to insert distribution references to the model and drawing.
The problem with numbering has been solved by giving the elements a fixed number. This did not increase the amount of work, because in the whole model there were no two identical walls.
