The “air bike lane” is a steel bridge with a steel structure of over 30,000 tons, but the construction of the steel structure took only 2 months. The reason why the Xiamen Yunding Road Bicycle Fast Track Demonstration Project was completed was that the project technical team used the Tekla BIM software for the overall detailing design from the beginning of the steel structure design. The 3D solid modeling of the connection, and the unfolding and stakeout of the board to solve the forming problem.
The BIM model of this project is deeply designed by Wuhan Dunxin Steel Structure Co., Ltd. The difficulty is that the centerline of the bridge deck is an arbitrary curve without any rules, and the elevation is also changed with the road surface. It brings great difficulties to Tekla lofting work. Our company uses the combination of CAD layout and Tekla to make the centerline of the bridge.
