ARUP: Better Buildings with Heart and Soul
You know them. Their 10,000 staff rethinks the build environment, be it railway networks or gravity-defying skyscrapers, and defies the cynics. Now Arup has rethought the structures of human body with virtual replication in project OVE and demonstrated the potential of BIM. The 170-meter tall research laboratory has respiratory system, heart and brain, it sweats and gets hungry. For modeling OVE’s full structural skeleton Arup chose Tekla as they do with their construction projects.
Join our webinar to hear Arup’s Jonathan Lock and Joe Dukelow tell how they did it, and about designing the more conventional 52 Lime Street, the 35-floor London office buildings that maximizes floor area and views while limiting solar gain.
