Event to emphasize how Tekla Structures Users can succeed during down economy

 

Tekla, a leading provider of 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, recently announced it will host the 2009 North America Tekla Structures User Conference at the Denver Sheraton Hotel August 13-15, 2009. This year`s event, open to Tekla Structures Users, will emphasize how to succeed during the economic downturn.

 

“This year marks a change in our approach to the Tekla Structures 2009 North American User Meeting.  This year we built an agenda that strengthens the attendee’s use of Tekla Structures while also emphasizing critical sets of strategies and tactics to ‘win more bids,’” says Hans Ehrnrooth, President of Tekla, Inc. 


The User Meeting will kick off with Keynote Speaker Bill Hornaday, President of The Weitz Company Rocky Mountain Region. He will discuss leveraging Lean Project Planning and Virtual Design and Construction to create new project delivery paradigms. Attendees will learn The Weitz Company’s vision of future collaboration and project delivery innovation.

  • Opportunities for new relationships with General Contractors

  • General Sessions on Model Collaboration – Design Models Meet Construction Models, the Tekla Open API (Application Programming Interface), and Sell Using Tekla Structures “Learn How to Build it, Sell it.”
  • Nineteen Breakout Sessions designed for smaller audiences that dig into the details of everything from interoperability to drawing to Tekla’s development road map. 
  • A special presentation on the Central Park Tower at Interlocken. This Denver based project showcases some of the most innovative uses of BIM and Integrated Project Delivery to date.  This presentation will give insight from the perspectives of the structural engineer, general contractor, steel detailer and concrete detailer into how Tekla Structures more effectively delivered the project.
