Tekla at 2009 NASCC Steel Show

8 April 2009
"I see Tekla all over this place, "Robert Cassidy, Editor-in-Chief of Building Design + Construction magazine said in response to the amount of Tekla examples sprinkled around the 2009 NASCC exhibit hall. He was right, Tekla was everywhere during the 2009 NASCC Show, which took place April 1-3 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Despite a slow economy and fewer attendees, Tekla still had great success. "We visited with many current customers and demonstrated the power of Tekla Structures to many prospective customers including: Structural Engineers, Steel Fabricators, Steel Detailers and General Contractors," commented Hans Ehrnrooth, President of Tekla, Inc.  The recently released Tekla Structures 15 created quite a buzz as well as the new Tekla Structures Model Reviewer. For more on the Tekla Structures Model Reviewer go to www.tekla.com/modelreviewer

Tekla’s Michael Gustafson and Chris Keyack presented “Design Models Meet Construction Models: Making Project Collaboration Easier” during a Thursday afternoon workshop.  Download the (PDF) presentation

Tekla engaged several of its partners and customers during the show. A special Tekla map encouraged attendees to visit each partner booths and learn about how Tekla Structures collaborates with their programs.  Visitors were encouraged to visit these booths and have a section on the Tekla map to be marked.

After visiting a partner booth, attendees had a chance to win a Garmin nüvi® 205 GPS travel assistant. The lucky winner of the travel assistant was John Oliva, Detailing Manager at Gregory P. Luth & Associates in Santa Clara, CA. Congratulations John!
