Odda Design Ltd are one of the UK’s leading steelwork detailers. We work for clients across Europe undertaking both large and small projects. These range from cat ladders to 2000 tonne buildings. All of our drawings are created using Tekla Structures software. Over the last year we have detailed approximately 8500 tonnes of steel.
Tree top walkway, Kew Botanical Gardens. The aerial walkway is 200m long and rises 18m above the ground. It navigates a densely wooded area within the gardens home to a diverse range of tree species. Fibonacci series governs the geometry for the walkways.
The structure is fabricated from 300 tonnes of Corten plate with galvanised expanded mesh forming the floor and side infill panels. The hand railing will be machined from wood supplied by Kew.
