Rules for Tekla UK Model Competition 2008

Tekla has the right not to take a model into the competition if some required material is missing.

The Entrant must provide:

  1. Permission to use the model and images of the model for marketing and sales demonstration purposes.

  2. Tekla Structures .db1 and profile database file of the model.

  3. Description of the project and optional photographs of the fabrication or the site during the erection process. Project description is needed for the model and project introduction at the competition.

  4. Additional photographs of the project if available.

  5. One model per section per submitting company will be accepted to the competition.

Legal notice:

Ownership of any materials submitted for this competition shall remain the property of the Company ("the competitor ") submitting the material. The competitor shall grant Tekla the exclusive right to use any and all material submitted for this competition, as well as the competitors name for any promotional or marketing material. Tekla also reserves the right to make duplicate copies of any and all material submitted for this competition. The competitor also hereby certifies that there are not any copyrights owned by any third party for any and all materials submitted for this competition.

Insurance: Tekla will insure any and all submitted materials, signed for during this competition. Any and all material submitted for this competition will not be returned to the competitor, unless the competitor wishes to provide the material, the address, the method of shipment and a method of payment for such a transaction. Tekla will not be held responsible for any material lost in the shipment of this material back to the competitor. If any of the aforementioned material is missing, Tekla will store this same material for 1 month after the competition, before disposing of it.


Rules and Regulations:

NO portion of the models submitted for this competition can be detailed, in any manner, by using any other program (CAD or otherwise), outside of the Tekla Structures program.

All models submitted to this competition must NOT have been entered in any other prior similar Tekla competition.

The Tekla Structures models must be submitted for this competition by the contracted company and NOT a sub-contracted company or individual. It must also be submitted with the express permission of the contracted company. Or in the case of a student entry, permission from the associated educational establishment must also have been granted.

All Tekla Structures models submitted for this global competition must arrive prior to date given. Models received after this date, will NOT be entered into the competition.
