3D Program for AEC professionals - Tekla Xsteel

3d cad design program for the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) professionals.

What our AEC customers say about Tekla programs:

“Before Xsteel, our typical commercial projects required the resources of three detailers and about six weeks time - now one detailer can complete the project in one to two weeks, and with no errors. Xsteel actually saved our business - we would not be here today without it.”

Owner

"Having spent the last 33 years building a reputation for accuracy and clear, concise drawings, we were at first skeptical of what Xsteel could accomplish for us. What we found was a system that is unmatched for accuracy and a system which can be configured to produce a very clear and legible drawing. Thanks to Xsteel we have a better piece of mind for the accuracy of our projects, and the added benefit of being able to handle a larger volume of work."

"Since 1999, when we first decided to walk the Xsteel path, we have experienced a 120% increase in the growth of our company. We have increased productivity, quality & efficiency, thereby passing on to our clients a greater range of service. We have successfully completed complicated projects, which has enabled us new opportunities."

Graeme Binch
Owner
Action Steel Detailing

----------------------------------------------

"Although we have only been using Xsteel for a short time, we have experienced great improvement in the accuracy of our fabricated items. The capability of Xsteel to create accurate shop details along with its CNC data downloaded to our fabrication equipment has virtually eliminated fabrication errors."

Fred Niemeier
Chief of Detailing
Alberici Constructors

----------------------------------------------

"In using Tekla´s systems, we have been able to record and demonstrate an average of an 11% saving of tender returns against cost plans over a period of 5 years – and that average is increasing all the time! We believe that we´ll continue to be even more competitive in the future and provide our customers with value of money."

Richard McWilliams
Associate
Whitby Bird & Partners Ltd

"3D modeling technology has brought about a better understanding amongst steelwork contractors, engineers and clients of how a structure is developed throughout its design period.

We consistently produce in excess of 1500 tons per week of fabricated steel. Its no secret that the use of Tekla's solutions are crucial to our production capability due to its speed and accuracy of data."

Steve Snow
Technical Director
Severfield-Reeve Structures

"With Tekla as our business partner, Allslade PLC has prospered. Tekla Xsteel has given us the confidence to compete in any area of structural steelwork fabrication and erection."

"On one of our recent projects, we estimate we saved approximately 6 months detailing time with Xsteel. This job had approximately 150 different inclined purlin to hip connections. Thanks Xsteel!"

"Our last project was sent to the shop along with Xsteel CNC downloads directly for Fabtrol and Peddinghaus. . . the shop manager informed me this process saved approximately 400 shop hours on this 600-ton project. If we can save shop time and get the material to the field one or two weeks faster, then we have a competitive edge."

"We do not detail simple buildings; WE HAVE NOT HAD THE FIRST THING NOT FIT, I think that says it all. We have detailed a 2000 ton church, where the building footprint was in the shape of a light bulb and the elevation was a pyramid. Also an 800 ton retrofit above an existing building, with all c/c columns different in each bay and rotated at about a 6 degree skew. The angles at each column in plan were different at all four intersecting grid lines (if you could call the lines grids). We have detailed many other buildings which include: circular church balconies, stadium balconies & mezzanines - skewed and circular, heavy framing, trusses, plate girders, special star columns, hip and valley framing, which have all been successfully detailed with Xsteel."
