When multiple Tekla Xproducts are used together, the multi-utility solution offers the following additional benefits:
- Each product contains interfaces to other Xproducts allowing the systems to read each other’s databases and share information, minimizing data transfer and conversion requirements. In addition, the Tekla WebMap application can combine data from all the Xproducts and display it in a browser-based user interface. This allows the Xproducts to use, for example, shared maps, satellite pictures, and terrain models.
- In planning, the designers can use the data in all the Xproducts to facilitate and speed up the planning process.
- All maintenance tasks for different utilities can be organized together, resulting in more efficient task planning and execution.
- Interfaces to external systems only need to be defined once, and can then be used for all Xproducts.
- Since the system environment and system administration tools for the different Xproducts are the same, they result in significant work and cost savings in operating the solution.
