Heat Recovery
The Waste Heat Recovery Unit (WHRU) is used for the process of utilizing waste energy stream. The unit has a heating coil for a pressurized water circulation system, which delivers heat to acid gas removal reboilers, fractionation reboilers and other LNG process facilities. The unit has also a regeneration gas coil used to maintain molecular sieves for gas dehydration in the production of LNG. This project is the company's first ever modular job being modeled and fabricated in Balamban, Cebu. It included unique equipment with the complete modeling of coils, silencers, vanes, stacks, ducts, breeches and transition and convection modules. It also included a tower with platforms, stairs and handrails. This ongoing project has already reached pre-assembly stage, installing studs, Y anchors, castables, liner plates, coils, manifolds, piping supports and pipe installation. The modeling stage of this project took a huge number of man hours, especially on the internal portion of the convection section where the coils rest on the end tube sets and intermediate tube sets. Also aligning the brackets was very complex work that needed patience and focus.
