For customers who want to avoid the maintenance tasks related to a software system, Tekla offers a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution. This means that Tekla manages the hardware and software related to the product – partly or entirely, leaving the customer free to concentrate on managing and using the actual data in the system.
Tekla also provides a regional solution that enables multiple customers in the same area to share one Tekla Xproduct system. This solution means that one customer hosts and maintains the actual system covering the data for multiple customers, while the other customers simply have access to it. The regional solution is a valid option, for example, for a cluster of smaller municipalities who all need a municipal information system like Tekla Xcity: the data of multiple municipalities are maintained in the same database, and the shared maintenance and operation processes provide cost savings for all the municipalities involved.
