Overview

Tekla Xpower Days 2010 (TXD10),  the 8th international biennial seminar for the members of the Tekla Xpower community will be organized on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 October 2010 in Riga, Latvia.

The event is arranged in cooperation with our client Latvenergo.
 
The event is aimed at the leaders of Smart NIS; members of the Tekla Xpower community who

  • are strongly involved in and lead the development
    of the use of the system and system-related processes
     
  • make and/or prepare decisions and lead the process
    related to the acquisition and/or further development of the system and business.
     

During the seminar you will have a unique possibility to hear thoughts from other leaders of Smart NIS - how they see future trends and development of our industry.

Theme

The main theme of this year's seminar is "Smart NIS", the smart network information system.

In the presentations and discussions we will see how Smart Grids enhance traditional network asset management. The lecturers will present several case studies about successful process development projects and the benefits of using Tekla Xpower applications.

Presentations will also cover traditional network asset management themes as well as the challenges of a changing distribution network.

Participation fee

  • The early birdy participation fee until 13 August is 550 euros/person
  • The participation fee from 14 August is 610 euros/person

 
The participation fee includes the seminar lectures, material, meals according to the program, tutorials etc. The price does not include the accommodation and transportations. The valid VAT will be added to the participation fee.

 

Accommodation fee in hotel  Latvija

  • Reval Class Single room 85 euros/person/night 
     
  • Reval Class Double room 48.50 euros/person/night
    (Tekla does not guarantee a double room if no person is indicated to share the room.)

These affordable prices are valid for the nights from Monday 12 to Friday 16 October, one day prior and one day after the event.

The accommodation prices have a 0% VAT.

Venue & accomodation

The seminar takes place at the most experienced and professional conference venue in Latvia, Radisson Blu Hotel  Latvija. The hotel is located conveniently in the heart of Riga, only under 10 minutes walking distance from the historical old town. The accommodation is naturally organized at the same hotel.

@ luggage


Our recommendations to take with you

  • Credit card (needed for hotel check-in (only to guarantee the stay, the room has been payed in advance - if not available, it is not a problem, just contact organizer)
  • Your swimming suit if you want to participate to the 'Relax & Refresh' moment in the program.
  • Comfortable shoes for short, 800m walk
  • Umbrella - you never know...
  • Dress code recommendation for the dinner is business suit / business casual, same goes nicely also for the day. Or more casual, if you wish so.

 

@ arrival and departure

  • Hotel Latvija is well connected with the airport by public transport or taxi.
  • The drive from the airport to the hotel is 20 minutes.
  • If you travel by taxi, use the ones that are red or lime green. White and black taxis are not that reliable.
     
  • Complimentary, shared transportation will be oraganized from the airport to the hotel on Wednesday 13th at 10 a.m.
  • Complimentary, shared transportation will be organized from the hotel to the airport on Thursday 14th at 3 p.m. 
  • There will not be organized several shared transportation from the airport due to the variety of the flight schedules. If you wish to receive more information of the transportation e.g. from the airport to the hotel, please contact RTG or the organizer on the site.
     
  • Taxi voucher with very affordable price can be received from hotel reception.

 

@ Hotel Latvija

  • In need for early check in or late checkout please contact Hotel Latvija directly. This service is not abel to be prearranged by organizer.
  • Prepare to present a credit card at the check in.
  • In case you need to store your luggage for a while, the hotels luggage room is at your service.
  • Money exchange point can be found at the hotel lobby.
  • Taxi voucher with an affordable price can be purchaced from hotel reception.
  • Free of charge WLAN is available at the hotel.
  • Underground parking at Hotel Latvija is operated by Europark (at additional cost).
  • Special diets: Please see the buffet table signs of the buffet or mention your name to the waiter/waitress
  • There is a great jogging opportunities at a park next door to the hotel.
  • Remember to pack your swimming suit along if you want to participate to the 'Relax & Refresh' moment in the program.

  • Presentation material will be handed out in memory sticks.
  • Tekla will also provide equipment for taking notes.
     
  • Dress code recommendation for the dinner is business suit / business casual.
  • We suggest you to walk to and from the dinner venue (Kalku Varti).
  • Bus transportation is provided to the dinner, and taxis per request from the dinner to the hotel. The walking distance is only 800m.

    Terms of cancellation

    The booked services will be charged as registered per Monday 13th September 2010.

    Cancellations must be made before 13th September 2010. If cancellation is made after 13th September, all reserved services will be charged fully.

    Refund for cancellation after 13th September 2010 can be made only if a medical certificate is submitted to RTG and if the cancellation is made to RTG before the beginning of the event.

    Name changes can be made after 13th September 2010. RTG must be notified of name changes by email.
