The schedule

Submissions for the Tekla India BIM Awards 2023 are closed. All competing projects were published on our website. The voting period in which the public could choose their favorite projects closed on Monday 9th October. Judging of the category winners has been completed and will be on 19th October at the Tekla User Days 2023, during the felicitation ceremony. The Tekla Global BIM Awards are biannual and will be held next in 2024.

The prizes

There will be 2 Winners in each category – 1 Jury award winner and 1 Popular Choice award winner:

Felicitation at Tekla User Days 2023 India

Each winning entry’s organization will receive 2 exclusive & complimentary invitations to attend the felicitation ceremony at TUD2023 where they shall be awarded on stage with an engraved 3D crystal trophy and a framed certificate, in presence of the industry!

Local & Global publicity & promotions

Each category's Jury award winner will qualify to participate in the Global Tekla BIM Awards 2024! The one entry that receives the maximum public votes will also qualify to participate in the Global Tekla BIM Awards 2024! They will be promoted across all our social media platforms, website, emails, PR, etc. Each winning entry will also be developed into a detailed case study and will be published on our website.

The judging criteria

Projects are evaluated based on the following criteria:

Use of BIM and collaboration

Model life cycle, collaboration between multiple participants, and use of IFC and open BIM

Innovative use of Tekla software

Challenges solved with Tekla and innovative ways of utilizing BIM

Constructibility

Level of Development (LOD), multi-material aspect, and complexity of geometry

Environmental benefits

Energy savings, reduced waste, and logistics

Cool factor

Impressiveness and uniqueness of the project, and creativity in execution of the project

The Jury

Tekla BIM Awards jury members represent distinguished expertise in the field of construction. A jury will review the projects and choose the winners.

Tekla India Student BIM Awards 2023

The Tekla India BIM Awards 2023 has a special category for students. Entering projects into this competition is a great way for students to highlight their civil and structural engineering or construction management talent. The competition offers students the chance to showcase their skills alongside the most outstanding projects in the industry. What's more, winning looks excellent on student resumes and can help them land their dream job upon graduation. The student projects may be carried out individually or in teams with a maximum of five (5) members.
