Tekla India User Meet was a huge success. Tekla India User Meet, TIUM 2009, which was held in Bangalore from April 23 - 27, 2009, Tekla India User Meet drew an overwhelming response from over 120 Companies and a large numbers of software users. The main purpose of this meeting was to educate and make the users aware about new features and coming software version of Tekla. Tekla Structures Users came to Bangalore beautiful Inner for the two-day meeting filled with training workshops, seminars, and networking events. This year’s meeting saw a significant increase in attendance over last year’s meeting in Renaissance Hotel, Powai – Mumbai.
Addressing the Participants Mr. Ajit Mohite, Director, Tekla India, 
presented an overview of the business in India and globally. He spoke of Tekla‘s efforts in India to promote usage of Tekla structures in the country's ever-expanding infrastructure. Our Users from southern India appreciated our decision to start Tekla Contact office as well as Training Centers at Bangalore.
Tekla has released its annual main version of Tekla Structures BIM software. The new version 15 includes several improvements towards more user and environmentally-friendly software. Tekla Structures 15 has been developed to help you build an accurate illustrative 3D model faster and more easily. Tekla Structures 15 will let you model and detail more intuitively, enhance your drawings and other output, as well as improve project collaboration through improved interoperability and visualization.
Among the various guest speakers, Mr. Jayanta Saha - AGM - INSDAG, touched upon the prospects of Sustainable steel Usage in India and future prospects; Mr. S. R. Sarvade - Technical Director -Eversendai, spoke on 3D Modeling of Complex Structures; Mr. Anil Kumar from Tekla HQ, briefed on What’s New in 15.0 – Drawing & Future Road Map; Mr. Peter Miller – President – JSW Severfield Structures Pvt Ltd, illustrated on “ New Age High Rise Steel Construction” ; Mr. ‘Tadigotla Sasidhar’ – L&T ECC , spoke on Tekla Structures' success story; Mr. Chandra Dutta & Mr. Devesh Kumar - Elematics, threw light on Precast Technology. |

The Latest Tekla Structures Version 15 improved Visualisation & Communication, intutive modeling and detailing, Handel bigger than ever models and projects, ebhanced output and drawing & interoperability for efficient project collabration.
After the Conference on Saturday attendees were split into segmented breakout sessions for Modeling, Drawing, Extranet and Collaboration. Attendees had a choice of attending several different sessions
During the Wrap-Up session the winners of the User Meeting -Model Competition were announced – National Engineering - Ferrari Experience, Yas Island Development Project in Category 1 - Tonnage
< 300 Tons, Eversendai DUBAI MALL - FOUNTAIN OASIS in Category 2 - Tonnage between 300 & 1000 Tons, Intel Engineering CIDCO Exhibition Centre in Category 3 - Tonnage > 1000 Tons. The price for Model Competition was Sony Handy cam. There was also lucky draw for participation and the price for this was Digital Frames.

Guests mingled with Tekla staff and networked with each other while enjoying heavy hors d’ourves and drinks of their choice on Friday Dinner with Gazal
After a full day on Saturday the attendees boarded the Fishy Tec Disc. This enjoyable Disc also had great food and fun dancing. Tekla’s Marketing Team walked around snapping Polaroid pictures and placing them in specially designed User Meeting frames. A great success!
