Tekla India recently organized The 5th Annual Tekla India User Meet (TIUM) at ITC Grand Central, Mumbai from 11th to 13th April 2012. This event was attended by over 175 representatives from 115 companies across India.
This two day residential event comprised of technical sessions, workshops, and very insightful presentations by guest speakers like Mr. Naresh Rawtani – President, Prothious Engineering,
Mr. B. K. Chaurasia – Head Structural, L & T MHI Boilers Pvt. Ltd, and Mr. Chandrashekar Shetty – Head Detailing, NPCC Engineering Ltd.
The highlight of the show was Tekla India Model Competition (TIMC) which saw 28 entries across 4 categories. The winner's were chosen in each category by an independent jury panel comprising of industry experts & Tekla Corporation members.
The winner's of Tekla India Model Competition (TIMC) 2012 were:
DGS Technical Services Inc. – Best BIM Category
L&T IES division – Best Industrial Steel Structure Category
TRF Ltd. – Special Project Category
Mr. André Corniere - Director, Tekla India was present at this event and freely interacted with Tekla’s customers and presented the global perspective at Tekla end..
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Nirmalya Chatterjee - COO, Tekla India said, “This year was our 5th year celebration with our users and its our great pleasure to receive appreciation from all our users for conducting such shows for them 5th consecutive year. We are committed to deliver more in coming days."
TIUM 2012 was a huge success particularly due to the enthusiasm shown by customers. They promptly asked questions during the sessions, voted actively for their favourite models in TIMC and actively participated in the workshop sessions and in cultural cum entertainment programs scheduled during the evenings. This event also presented a suitable networking opportunity to the participants to interact with the entire Tekla team and with each other.
