Korus engineering has recently agreed to implement structural design and detailing software Tekla Structures for its in-house engineering team. Tekla’s strength on Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology has been key area for this movement.
Mr Arun Taneja, Executive director, Korus Engineering Says we have been carrying out the design work of steel structures for our various projects. During last five years we have successfully completed steel plants resulting in production of 3.5 million ton of steel through EAF route, 1.2 million ton from IF route and 6 million ton TPA capacity of 20 rolling mills through our existing software and conventional procedures. But now with the availability of this Tekla software we expect fewer revisions & faster output of completion drawings, ultimately resulting in overall improvement, efficiency of work and enhancement of knowledge for our technical persons.
