Tekla ME Model Competition 2010 Winners 

Thank you to everyone who entered and voted on this year's Tekla Middle East Model Competition. The finalists were decided by the public vote and put through to our jury consisting of leading BIM experts inside and outside Tekla.

We are pleased to announce the following winners for each of the seven categories:

The supported compressor is Syngas Compressor in Shiraz Urea Ammonia Plant. Total weight is 131 ton with 8300 rpm.

Tip: This is a very complicated structure and from the beginning using BIM (Information Transformation between ETABS, TEKLA & PDMS) help us greatly to issue engineering drawings and fabrication drawings almost error free and in the reasonable time.

Project Name: FPSO Topside Modules

  • The FPSO TOPSIDE Modules are supported by a multi points support system with appropriate restraints to minimize the interaction with the hull structure
  • The FPSO will receive crude oil directly from underwater wellheads; separate oil, gas and water; inject gas into the field for artificial lift requirement; store stabilized crude oil and offload it via hoses to export tankers, periodically moored to the FPSO.
  • Lamprell scope involves building of all Topside Modules with the ship and
    Turret built by others.
